THE HISTORY OF VFW POST 11279
December 10, 1991: VFW Post 11279 was chartered as Twin Lakes Memorial Post
February 5, 2007: Name was changed to Father Mathias Zerfas Post 11279
September 22, 2015: Post 11279 and Pell Lake Post 5830 merged under the charter date of February 24, 1946.
Our Vision
To honor the legacy of our nation’s heroes by fostering a supportive, inclusive community where veterans and their families find camaraderie, resources, and a renewed sense of purpose. Through outreach, advocacy, and shared experiences, we strengthen the bonds of service and commitment to each other and our communities.
